Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Potly handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Potly mobile application, potly.xyz, and related support communications. Potly is operated by Gaige Moore (“Potly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address, display name, username, authentication identifier, and account settings. Your display name and username may be used to let other Potly users find and invite you to games.

Game information: games you host or join, scheduled games, invitations and RSVP status, recent-player relationships, game names and codes, participants, chip sets, templates, buy-ins, rebuys, cash-outs, chip totals, results, settlements, corrections, and completed-game history.

Subscription information: Apple purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock and restore Potly+. Potly does not receive your full payment-card number.

Support information: your email address, message contents, attachments, and follow-up information you choose to provide.

Technical information: service providers may process IP address, device or browser information, app-specific push-notification tokens and installation identifiers, timestamps, request metadata, and service logs needed to authenticate users, deliver notifications and the Services, secure systems, and diagnose failures.

3. How we use information

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain accounts.
  • Let users host, join, manage, complete, and review games.
  • Let users find and invite players, manage RSVPs, and receive game-related notifications.
  • Calculate totals, settlements, history, reports, and statistics.
  • Provide and restore Potly+ features.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
  • Protect the Services, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

4. Information shared with other Potly users

Your display name and username may be visible to other Potly users for player search, invitations, and recent-player features. Information associated with a particular game may be visible to its host and participants, including display names, participation, buy-ins, chip totals, results, settlements, and summaries. Do not enter information you are not authorized to share.

5. Service providers

  • Google Firebase: authentication, database, synchronization, cloud messaging and push-notification infrastructure, and supporting services.
  • Apple: App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases and subscriptions, Apple Push Notification service, and Potly support email services.
  • Cloudflare: domain, DNS, website delivery, and web security.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer.

6. Selling and advertising

Potly does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party behavioral advertising.

7. Retention

We retain account and game information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain shared game records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Backup copies and logs may remain temporarily after deletion before normal system processes remove them.

8. Your choices

You may update available profile information in the app and initiate account deletion from account settings. Privacy requests can be sent to privacy@potly.xyz. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting a Potly account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.

10. Children

Potly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Website technologies

The Potly website does not intentionally use advertising trackers or behavioral analytics. Cloudflare may process routine web request and security information to deliver and protect the site.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as Potly changes. The updated version and effective date will be posted here.
